    KG-Cyclone

Anymore help on this WJ situation? What happened/who he talked to/where he might be going?

I just want to find out what's going on and put it past us... I, along with many others here, appreciate your information.

it's over and done with. The Taylor comments were very nice, however.

Outside of the info on any tampering that took place and clarification from Wes on his statements that directly contradicted with most others - yeah - this one is about "done".

    Re: KG-Cyclone

I am limited on what I can let out on this board. I have read some other posts and I will say it again. I have not lied on this board. Nothing has been decided on whether to release WJ or not. They are leaning towards not releasing him. Ask yourselves why would Mac release everybody else who asked for a transfer except for WJ. Things are dirty and I think WJ is backing himself into a corner or rather being pushed into a corner. There is a very long line of people involved and not for the right reasons.

I'm ready to move on too. I'm committed to the players that are still here and I look forward to seeing Lucca, Craig, Diante and the rest of the crew come out motivated from this and more united as a TEAM. No 1 player is bigger than the team.

    Re: KG-Cyclone

Pure speculation, but it could be possible that WJ doesn't ever play college basketball again. After waiting for a release, sitting out a year, and who knows what else if there is any sort of impropriety turned up.

I could see him having to declare for the draft and playing overseas.

    What a shame.

Right now he'd have no shot at being drafted and that won't improve if he sits out a year either. If he had NBA dreams staying at ISU would have been the smartest thing to do. Even if you were unhappy you come back and have a great season then leave instead of setting yourself back at least an extra year right now.

Fully agree...I don't think he fully understands how the system works.

    If we don't release him.

If he truely wants released...he faces a committee where he is going to have to answer questions...and stories change when you lie, something we all know.

If he ends up on a different campus; he gets red flagged by the NCAA along with that school. ISU points the NCAA in the right direction because no other school is allow to recruit him without a release.

If he takes a year off of basketball completely, meaning not enrolling in any classes...I don't like his chances of getting back.

    Just my opinion.

    Re: KG-Cyclone

I say don't release him mainly to set an example to others. He doesn't want to be a cyclone so be it, but ISU now has the power to put it to him and if I was Pollard or McD that is what I would do.

Sad to say, but the best thing for him at this point would be to come back begging for forgiveness or go ahead and hire a 'good' agent that would be willing to forward the money for top of the line rehab on his ankle, work out, and play in the D-league next year, and move on from there. Sitting out a year and going through a legal mess wouldn't help him one bit...

    Quoted for truth.

In a couple years - we'll have a much better idea if in fact we're right.
