I guess that guy must not be a fan of Vista, or the new Office 2007 user interface...

Office 2007 is bad, but no where near as bad as vista.

I personally love Office 2007. Off the top of my head, Outlook is much better with the way you can organize your tasks and calendar.

hmm, I've been using office 07 and vista for over a year now and haven't had any problems... other than re-learning where a bunch of buttons and features are.
I like them both better than their predecessors.

Re: Steve Ballmer pelted by eggs

Has anyone used Vista as a media center to connect to your xbox360? I have and it works great, watch home videos, dvr over the air HD, watch downloaded HD movies, pictures, music, its great. Bought a 2 used xbox360's for $75 a piece and connect them to the same vista machine.

Not sure if XP can do all of this, but vista is great for this.

My new work computer (got it in December) has Office 2007 on it. It took me a little bit to get use to it, but don't mind it now. It is really weird using excel on my personal computer though.

Same here. Some people are never going to be happy.

My PC hasn't locked up since I installed Vista. Now I agree that Windows ME was BAD.

I think some are getting a little ahead of themselves. So far CPR has done a pretty good job for his first year. If we win 3 games this year will everyone feel the same way? I hope we go undefeated and CPR has a ton of job offers but I'd like to give him a few years at the helm before I decide how great of coach he is.

Not the Xbox but I've done it with the PS3 as well as my directv receiver.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

Re: Steve Ballmer pelted by eggs

I especially like the way that Vista has made it impossible to use my flight sim, which I put a ton of time in to modify so I could use it at the museum. I just LOVE having to reload all four discs every time I want to use it.

I also like the way my Vista machine has decided not to ever go on-line again, and after 2.5 hours of MS customer support, followed by the CS rep telling me "I'm just screwed", turning my Vista machine into an expensive paperweight, awaiting the hard drive being wiped and replaced by an OS that actually works.

I really, really like the way that Office 07 has features that make it impossible to be opened by the older versions of Office. I truly enjoy being sent copies of pptx that are unopenable by my work machine.

I really, really love being told by the 1% of people that it works for, that I should just love Vista and Office '07, even though they DON'T FRIGGING WORK!!!!!

    [/sarcasm off]
