    Question Brad Reese

Is the signing period over officially now? Because Brad Reese had this to say on his Myspace status " Brad is Iowa State looks really good right now!"
I think if he could still sign w/ us, he would. Is the spring period officially over now?

I don't know that I'm that excited about him. Although it would get our mind off Wesley for about 2 seconds.

I think that it is too late to sign a LOI. He could, however, verbally commit to enroll in August and be eligible for a scholarship and playing time this coming year. There just would be no binding commit on either party.

According to one website this year's spring signing period for basketball is April 16 to May 21.

Was he the one who was going back to JUCO? Or did no one sign him? I wouldn't mind getting him in if possible. Just a warm body to fill that spot couldn't hurt...especially when he's a JUCO and would not take a spot in the 2010 class.

    Re: Brad Reese

Why not save the scholi for next year and spend 12 months recruiting a player that will help in the future, stay a cyclone and help the team improve instead of filling a spot with a warm body

Actually he would, since he would have three years to play.

    Re: Brad Reese

I think Reese would be a solid get right now. Too bad we didn't get Jimmy Butler. We need to be competitive next year or it will kill our recruiting.

    Re: Brad Reese

I would take Reese, he or Jimmy Butler seemed like they could replace Rahshon as our defensive stopper. Right now we really don't have someone that could guard the other teams top scorer.

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

That is a good point that hasn't been brought up, defensively this hurts quite a bit. Who will guard the tops scores in the Big 12 next year?

Are you forgetting, even on a good ankle, Wes was our worst defender, and I am not exaggerating one bit.

I'm asking more of a general non WJ related question, who will be our defensive stopper next year.
