Graphic: Player Turnover for Men's Basketball

6/32 exhausted their eligibility. Anthony Davis didn't quit as the graphic says. Pretty sad numbers though.

That makes it look real ugly to realize there are no players on our team with more than a year of playing experience for us. (Thompson has more experience but still not in our system)

Click the little yellow bar above the graph, and then once it gets a little bigger, click on the image again (if using IE) and it will become readable.

When I first read the title, I missed the semicolon...still apropo even reading it like that...

Re: Graphic: Player Turnover for Men's Basketball

Scary, so this millennium, we have had a grand total of 1 player come in as a freshman and graduate at ISU?

We should have all our schollys removed by the NCAA for this.

Re: Graphic: Player Turnover for Men's Basketball

Wow! How depressing is that graph?! I've been a cyclone fan all of my life and I finally have to speak out. I have stayed away from forums such as this until now. Something definitely has got to be done to keep players around or we are never going to make any sort of progress. I didn't realize how bad the turnover was even before GMac, probably because we had a little success so it was easier not to dwell on these things. I also didn't think the success was as little as it truly is: Iowa State Men's Basketball is 33-72 in Big 12 play over the past seven seasons, that is pathetic. Can anyone remember that time ages ago when ISU was winning conference titles and appeared to be building a national reputation? I'm beginning to believe that was all a dream, its been a downward spiral since then. Someone please stop the bleeding...how much longer can cyclone fans "hope"?

Thanks for the graph. This will really hurt our recruiting.

It really makes you wonder what happened after Johnny Orr left. Tim Floyd seemed to take us up a step and then LE inherited Fizer and recruited Tinsley and had those two conference champions. After that last regular season Big XII title, the wheels seemed to come off.

FWIW, I remember listening to Deace the day Wayne got fired. He was very complimentary to the job Wayne did considering "the total mess he inherited." I'd be curious to know what exactly he meant by that. Clearly, things have been a complete mess since Tinsley left (save 2005) including the last year or two LE was there.

I wish they would correct that, I work with Anthony Davis and he's a really nice guy.
