    Old Seneca Memories

    I was pretty bored tonight and was surfing the net for Seneca news and I came across these. Thought I would let everyone watch and bring back some good memories.

    Re: Old Seneca Memories

    The Run always gives me goosebumps... but the next one I usually think of is this:
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNn5kFXMG_8]YouTube - Iowa State vs Iowa 2002 Part 1[/ame]

    The 3rd down play from 2002 vs. Iowa inside the 5 yard line. That was one of the best throws I have ever seen.

    He really was something to watch, hopefully we can get another QB to play like that in Bates or Arnaud.

    Couldn't agree more!! - My favorite Seneca play and one of my favorite all time Cyclone memories, simply because of the sheer difficultly and perfect execution. So few QB's could make this throw, just incredible...

    EDIT. I can't stop watching this play. He's at a full sprint running toward the sideline and somehow twists his torso enough to be able to throw a near 30 yard rope just before avoiding a sack and going out of bounds. Seneca was truly something special.

    i just thougt of something else, while watching those random videos at the left...the hilton floor is going to look sweet without the Iowa State Center logo on the sides of the court.

    that leads to another thought...the court WILL look kind of bare...corporate sponsor?

    Re: Old Seneca Memories

    I still remember that day very well I was right in front of that run. It was so crazy!! I still think one of the best parts is when rutland laid that guy out to get that key block that finished off that play. The crack of those pads was just unreal. This make crazy for football season to get here.

    I miss all those guys, Hiawatha, Lane, etc. Pretty decent kicking game too. Hopefully that will come back soon.

    It was Michael Wagner that made the incredible block to seal the TD for Seneca. What a great play and glad I was there to witness it.

    I heard that Hiawatha just got his graduate degree in higher education and leadership...or something like that. Pretty cool that they have success off the field as well.

    As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs

    Re: Old Seneca Memories

    I was there when he had the run, i was only a young kid, and that was my first, and greatest cyclone football memory i have ever had, that was the single greatest run i have ever seen, its too bad seneca couldnt play in the N.F.L, think, if seneca is 6'1 he wouldve been a force, its too bad we had a downfall that season, we wouldve won maybe 1 or 2 more games we wouldve contended in the B.C.S, that was heartbreaking to see isu fall to conneticut, then Boise State, it was a truly great season, Go CYCLONES
