I predict we come out strong, get up by 17 and then bend over and take it the second half coming away with 3 points in the second half and a loss. Sorry to naysay, but I want to keep real. If they win then i will eat my toes. =)

Some people think that Mac has to win 2 more games this year to keep his job, but I dont think one of those are Jamie Pollard.

Jamie's Goals as Stated on KxNO Radio: Win ALL The Home Games and Go To A Good Bowl.

Well unless Dan can win the next three games neither of these goals for the season will be met.

    Come on Clones...Beat Kansas Saturday!!

I actually heard Mac say this week that if we win the next 2 (KU, MU) at home will will finish 5-2 at home on the year. Marty & Miller ripped on him for that quote...and rightfully so.

    Re: IOWA STATE 38-KANSAS 14

KU has a poor pass defense...yet so did some of the other teams we've faced. Our highest scoring output in regualation is 28, against UNI. Next highest was 26 vs. Tech.

It'll be a stretch to get to 38.

We've got 2 of the worst combos that there is...

    - An offense that can't score.
    - A young defense that will give up points.

    Rarely does that spell W-I-N.

I have been saying for the past 2 weeks now that we would see our team play the best they have all year, and I also thought we would blow out UNLV and UNI. I have been wrong 4 times this season, so I am not going to say we will play good this weekend. It will not surprise me if win, but I have seen nothing this year that would lead me to believe we are going to score 38 points, or lead me to believe we are going to blow another team out. I say we will score 24 points AT MOST, the rest will be up to our defense.

...............at the end of the 1st half. McCarney, afraid to make any mistakes, plays 'not to lose'. After a Hicks run up the gut on 1st down, we punt the ball on 2nd down each possession of the 2nd half. Kansas scores on each possession, coming back to beat Iowa State 45-38.

    Just watch..

It's impossible for Hicks to run up the middle this week. Right too. Or left for that matter. In fact, he can't even pass block.

'Cuz he's not playing this week...and for that matter - may not play again for ISU.

On punting...do you recall what our best offensive play was at the last home game?

    Punt.

I'm all for us punting on 2nd down. Heck, why not do it on 1st down!

Prediction: Last Great White Hope Football Game

    FIRST QUARTER
I have supreme hope that we will finally be mad. Adrenaline will flow first twenty minutes as Milan Moses scortes a touchdown. After a violent Bowen hit and fumble recovery, Bret will hit RJ Sumrall for a 60 yard pass play.
    14-0.

    SECOND QUARTER
The Kansas freshman qb will hand off to Jon Cornish for a touchdown dive. Kockster will score on a 2 yard smash. Shaggy will kick a 50 yarder as time runs out.
    24-7

    THIRD QUARTER
Kansas will drive 80 yard with opening kickoff and score on qb sneak.
Baum The Bomb wi ll run a punt back 62 yards.
    27-14.

    FOURTH QUARTER
Cyclones go conservative and do not score.
Kansas drives 52 yards into the wind and score on a Cornish screen pass.
Kansas kicks fieldgoals of 39 and 41 yards in last five minutes.
    27-27

    FIRST OVERTIME
    Kansas fumbles away the ball
    ISU fumbles away the ball.
    27-27

    SECOND OVERTIME
Bret scampers in for the score from 25 yards out and Shaggy boots the ball off the right upright and through.
Kansas is stopped on the one on fourth down after the qb slips and falls down as he makes his cut.
    ISU 34- Kansas 27

    WE WIN BIG.

KANSAS MAY BE STUCK ON THE BOTTOM DUE TO TIEBREAKERS. KANSAS DOES NOT MAKE A BOWL GAME. PAYBACK BABY. BRING ON MISSOURI.

I thought we lost at home to TT and Nebraska. Hmmmm.

Next year will be the pits with Texas and Oklahoma rolling into Ames.
Is Shreveport a good bowl in JP's book? Holidy Bowl could be our zenith bowl. Hope it is in sight.

Sounds like McC's report card has some Ds and Fs.
