    Honda CRV

It is one of my favorite things to do....CAR SHOPPING.

It is the wife's turn to get new ride and she is in love with the new CRV. Does anyone have a new one? Any comments/concerns with it?

My only thing is that Honda won't do anything as far as financing and the sticker is basically what you pay. Never had luck dealing with them because they really don't have to deal, I HATE that!

    Re: Honda CRV

I love my old one and I have heard a ton of great things about the new ones. They dont deal because you get what you pay for I believe. Are they doing the 0 percent financing dealio right now?

Huh, apparently everything they have qualifies minus the CRV.

Current Offers - the Official Honda Web Site

Very odd. Must know it will sell well.

    Re: Honda CRV

They're dumping pilots right now. You can get a sweet deal on one of those, still get good mileage for an 8 passenger vehicle, and be able to haul more stuff.

As for the CR-V, I've only heard great things. I don't think you can go wrong with any Honda really.... except the Fit. That's just a wussy car.

    Re: Honda CRV

A year ago we had a Chevy and a Dodge and now we have two Honda's sitting in the garage. We are very happy with the Honda's and even if you don't like the CR-V, it holds value extremely well so you can trade it in or sell it down the road.

A wussy compact that's been the best in the class since it's introduction, besting even it's sister the Civic.

I think it filled a need nicely in its little niche. I bet in large cities they do very well. Cant beat the price and fuel economy.

And the options on the interior. You can fold the front seat and 40% of the backseat flat and fit skis or a surfboard in there and still have a passenger in the back.

    It's a good little car.

    Re: Honda CRV

The new CRV's look sharp. If you're not in a rush, I would think they would have some sort of incentive before the year-end incentives that usually start around October.

    Re: Honda CRV

We've had about 10 Honda's so you can tell how we feel about them. My wife was getting tired of her 04 Accord and she wanted a small SUV. She went and drove the CRV and like it a lot. I told her that it would be a crime to not at least look at some other vehicles. We either looked at the Mazda CX-7, Saturn Vue, Toyota RAV4, and the Nissan Rogue.

    She hated the CX-7 interior
She hated the wheel on the back of the RAV4
    She like the Vue
She liked the CRV a lot
    She loved the Rogue

We bought the Rogue. It's a little bit more of a risk to buy a Nissan than a Honda but it was just a lot cooler vehicle for the price.

Some of the advantages I saw over the CRV. Some are not a big deal but they were to my wife.

Interior is more up to date.
    Seats are better
    Sportier
    Built in Blue tooth
    Keyless entry and ignition
Better radio (even though it's a Bose)
    Xenon headlights
    Better looking
    Better MPG
    Hummells willing to deal.

The only advantages I saw for the CRV.

Possible resale value but it doesn't mean as much when Honda isn't willing to deal.

Reliability. Every Honda we've ever owned has been bulletproof.

At first I didn't know whether I liked the CVT transmission but now that I'm used to it, it's pretty nice. The rogue is a little louder in town but it's the quietest small SUV on the interstate.

At least test drive one and if you're in Des Moines, go see Bart. He's awesome to work with.

Our new Camry has those options and they are great. I don't know why, but I love the bluetooth and keyless entry/ignition.
