    Re: Need a truck

If you look at that deal analytically, it is a pretty sweet deal. If it only gets 11 mpg then it costs you $.30/mile for gas at $3.30/gallon. My Ridgeline gets 19 now and once broke in is supposed to get in the lower 20's so using 22 mpg costs $.15/mile. If you took the $13,000 they are knocking off the price and divide it by the extra $.15 cts it costs to drive it, it would take 86,667 miles to even out the cost vs the Ridgeline. I got the Ridgeline for $23,000 so that is $4,000 more then what they quoted in the article. Add them both up and that saves a guy/gal $17,000 which ups the mileage to 113,333 miles before you even out the cost.

I would consider it if I hadn't just bought a truck........

The down side is that oil just hit $120/barrel and your Ridgeline will still be worth something once it hits 80,000 miles.

The tranmissions issues have been solved for years. I really loved my RAM when I had it, but gas prices forced me to get rid of it.

BTW-If you currently own a Dodge Ram, you probably want to kick in the teeth of Dodge right now because your used Ram is now not worth crap.

They must have forgot to fix the one I had then. It was a 2000 with 170k on the clock and on it's 4th transmission.

I love it but have only had it for about 3 weeks so don't have too much for beefs yet. I was going to get a Colorado or Canyon crew cab for sure until I drove this Ridgeline. It is 10" wider and has tons more room. I have 3 daughters so we wanted something we could all get it and go somewhere for the weekend if we wanted to. Not only does it have storage under the back seats but it has a 8.5 cu ft trunk under the bed which also has a drain plug in so it doubles as a cooler for your favorite beverage for game days(can't wait to try that out). The bed is a little smaller then the Colorado/Canyon but there are no wheel wells so in my mind it is bigger. CY ST8T has used his dads to haul sheetrock and I seen it loaded with 26 sheets (60lbs each) and wasn't sagging much at all if any. Plus the resale is so good for Honda's that helped too. It is also front wheel drive until you need 4WD and it also puts the power to the wheels that need it most so if you towing something it will transfer power to the rear axles automatically. I just got the RTX which is the base model plus towing package, but they come way more dressed up then mine is.

Heck of a step up from the 1998 S10 ZR2 Ext cab that is for sure.

Edit: I just thought of a small beef with it. It drives so nice that my wife loves it as well so now I have to drive the mini-Van(gina) ever so often.

That inbed trunk and cab room were cool to me. I am a Honda fanyboy for sure, but have never been into trucks until recently (camping, tailgating, etc) I just couldnt find a truck that really beats the Ridgline for my needs. Ill definitely give more of a serious look now that I know so many enjoy it.

    Re: Need a truck

I traded my Dodge Stratus in for a truck. You should have seen me on I235 this morning. I get 50 ft/gal with this bad boy.
I can't park in the ramp now though

    Re: Need a truck

Here's a picture of my new truck being deliverred. It doesn't have a mpg listing, just WTFM under the tag. I assume it is something about "Way too much" consumption but can't figure out what the F means........
