    Big Red's Sam Kellor...arena football?

Not sure if this has already been posted, but Nebraska's QB Sam Kellor did not get drafted, did not get signed as a free agent and will go to an nfl tryout in Florida, but will probably go the Arena football route.(if any team wants him) On the radio he said he expected to get drafted. Callahan played the wrong guy and paid the price.

Re: Big Red's Sam Kellor...arena football?

I hate kNU football with a passion. And always thought Keller was going to be a bust. Even the fans wondered what Callahan was thinking.

Than last spring people began questioning if he really was the better QB. But Callahan had already appointed him the next great leader.

As someone who always roots for the underdog it was great to see Joe Ganz make Callahan and kNU fans eat their words about Keller.

Ganz is just a good all around kid who deserved better than what kNU gave him. This year it's his job to lose. Me, personally, I hope he is the starter and has a great year (except against ISU).

I agree with you, but I think Ganz graduated last season...kinda sad, he waits for his chance and Callahan put Kellor in that spot.

Ganz has one more year of eligibility.

Re: Big Red's Sam Kellor...arena football?

Keller was good in Dirk Koetter's system but he definitely was average at best at Nebraska. I'm sure part of the reason he wasn't drafted is because of the drug rumors that have followed him around since his days in Tempe. Another reason is he shot-puts all his throws and simply isn't that good. :)

I would personally be surprised if Sam Kellor even makes it in the AFL. His novice throwing mechanics resemble that of an 7th grader trying out positions in the opening practice.
