Anyone see Starship Troopers? one of the worst movies ever, but some gruesome killing of giant bugs and humans. "It's an ugly planet, it's a bug planet" I watch it all the time.

    Re: Guilty Pleasure Movies?

I've seen the Last Dragon a lot of times. Oi.

I don't consider Top Gun a guilty pleasure, but if it has to be, that would be my movie.

Tower, this is Ghost rider requesting a flyby.
That's a negative Ghost rider, the pattern is full.

I've also seen the Matrix a lot of times because I lived right around the corner from the fountain where the "Woman in the red dress" scene was filmed. I used to love that movie but the next two were so bad it pretty much thrusts it into guilty pleasure status for me.

Its not a movie, but when my wife and daughter watch Hannah Montana, I sometimes find myself following the plot line.

Nick Hornsby is (I believe) British, so it's set over there. The music references are a little different, and there's just a little more to it. Definitely worth picking up, if you're a music nerd.

Dude it's a horrible movie. Only marginally better than Iron Eagle, simply because the flying scenes are a bit more accurate, but it's still a garbage movie.

The original matrix was really good, so I don't consider that a guilty pleasure. It's like saying the original star wars is a guilty pleasure thanks to JarJar Binks.

I love Starship Troopers. The (possibly?) unintentionally funny dialog makes it great. My wife hates it when it shows up on FX or something because she knows she has to watch it.

Hornby is a great writer..."How to be Good" and "A Long Way Down" are a couple of his I've read. He also wrote "About a Boy" and "Fever Pitch" which were made into movies like "High Fidelity".

The only other one I've read is "About A Boy" - never saw the movie, though.

Favorite character in Top Gun? I've got to go Iceman.
