    LOST, Season 4, Episode 9

Did anyone catch the episode tonight. It was very action packed and the trailer from last time left us with a lot of questions. I'll get back to this later, but wanted to start the thread and throw it out there.

What an episode! I figured it'd be an okay episode but WOW. I'll have more to say later once I've collected my thoughts.

That's how I felt. I think it will take a little time to put some of it together. It was really fast moving and intense. Killing Ben's daughter was a big surprise to me. I hope Sawyer and Locke end up surviving.

I liked the conversation that took place in London. A few things to ponder from that little tete-a-tete.

Someone is more of an action hero than previously expected.

    The Dr is fine?

What ticked me off is that army dude is still alive as seen in the previews for next week. I really don't like that guy. Ben definitely had a James Bond thing going...but who is he really?

Loved it!! Sooo many more questions. Like did Mr. Whitmore have the island before Ben? Why couldn't Ben just kill Whitmore off? Will Ben have Sayid kill Penny even though Sayid is friends with Desmond?

I think the Tree (army guy) is a great actor, but very creepy. I wonder if Sayid and Desmond are back on the island if they're all on the island now.

He definitely is creepy, of course that is probably what they are going for. I don't know about why Charles Whitmore can't be killed by Ben. That was an interesting twist, almost had me feeling like a God-Satan exchange. What about the smoke monster? It obviously can be summoned somehow.

I am really curious what happens to Locke and Sawyer, and to a lesser degree Claire. Are they still on the island - the friends that Ben reminds Sawyer about? or do some of them die? We know Hurley and Ben survive, and Aaron survives, so at least some of each of the parties that split are alive.

And what will happen to Michael, I mean Kevin, after Sajid outed him to the captain last time?

Re: LOST, Season 4, Episode 9

I must say, that Smokie scene was among the most intense smoke monster scenes I've ever seen. He's come a long way since appearing as that poorly CGed cloud of smoke we saw at the end of season 1. :')

As to Jack getting sick next week, two ways this could lead. Either this is their ticket off the island (freighters have to get Jack and company off the island to save him)... or now that Widmore "changed" the rules by killing Ben's daughter, time's course is now altered and Jack dies of a disease instead of making it off the island.

Anyone hear that we're getting an extra hour of LOST this season? The finale is going to be a two hour finale, but held a week later than it was originally going to be in order to make room for Grey Anatomy's two hour finale.

I loved the episode as well. I am really excited for the rest of the season.

Also I have always like all of Kevin Durand's work. He is always the perfect dark evil character.

I thought the season finales were always 2 hours long.

Re: LOST, Season 4, Episode 9

That episode was very dense with information and that's why I liked it so much. Gone are the days of Jack and Kate hitting golf balls in a jungle clearing. This is one advantage of the writer's strike. I expect the remaining episodes to be similar.

How did Ben end up on the desert floor and why was he wearing a Dharma parka (also known as a "dharka" )?

How does Ben summon the monster in his little secret chamber?

Not sure how I feel about Jack getting appendicitis. Will this serve a purpose or is it just a plot device to allow the other characters more face time?

This is a big question, as well as why he has been there before and is a regular of the hotel...link to Polar Bear bones? The time delay really plays in here somewhere I think.

Re: LOST, Season 4, Episode 9

i liked how when Hurley, john and Sawyer were playing Risk and Hugo shouted about how "Australia was the key to the game". Weve all talked about he's getting a more important role than anyone ever thought. He will probably be the key to the game.

Was that Ben in the desert... or Jason Bourne?

I want to see how he gets to travel off the island so fast, i thought thats what we were going to see when he released the smoke monster. Pretty cool to see the caveman like drawings on the door to the smoke monster.

Good episode. i liked it a lot.

Re: LOST, Season 4, Episode 9

Great episode. I shouldn't be surprised by all the death tonight since the show is dark by nature, but all the poor, anonymous "losties" getting killed in the village was a bit shocking, but not quite as shocking as Ben's daughter being killed in cold blood.

I'm not surprised that Ben revealed himself to be a bad-*** like that. I think we've seen flashes of that in previous episodes.
