Can people ever just accept an accident as an accident anymore?

    Nope.

Otherwise people would still be able to party it up on the tops of their buses while tailgating around JTS.

Instead, some idiot gets too drunk (or just has an accident, not sure which), falls off the top of a bus, busts himself up pretty good and sues the school. Subsequently, no more bus-top parties.

I should be able to sue the guy and his lawyer for being idiots.

And in the meantime, dikfers like this cause prices to go up on almost anything related to who they are suing. Then later they gripe that they are paying too much.

OK, now my follow up to everyone is that since everybody with common sense seems to think these lawsuits in general are ridiculous, than why in the hell are there jurors deciding to award these ridiculous lawsuits?

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Because they are as crazy as the people trying to get the money.

Maybe because its an organization who can afford the loss and the jurors dont care. Some people are indifferent in court cases Im sure as well. Who knows really.

Re: Bennie the Bull - Sued

I served on a jury a few months back and a lady tried to sue a church because she tripped over huge, perminant cornerstone she had seen 5 days a week for the previous so many years. Our jury was overwhelmingly unsympathetic.

It's unfortunate but also called an ACCIDENT. Afterwards, I felt like I had been a part of setting a precedent - sticking it back to the lawyers and ridiculous lawsuits

Re: Bennie the Bull - Sued

I don't think what this guy is sueing for is terribly unreasonable. Sure, it was an accident but his bicep tore and he will miss up to 4 months of work. I don't think having them pay his medical bills and loss of income is unreasonable. Its obvious the guy doesn't need the money if he is sitting court side. As long as he doesn't sue for millions I think he is legit.

I do agree with the sentement though, people will sue for anything now days.

Re: Bennie the Bull - Sued

Why don't people understand that the99.9% of these stupid lawsuits get tossed out and end up costing the person doing the suing a bunch of money, but they never get news.

the .01% or whatever that are won are the ones that get plastered all over the place and make everyone irate.
