    Mac Deserves Extension

None of these loses are Mac's fault, come on ease up. He's not responsible for:
    -pass interceptions
    -poor tackling
    -lack of offense
    -poor defense
    -poor recruiting
It's the asst coaches and players fault, not Mac's. So everyone needs to layoff and let's give him a raise and contract extension.

I think it is Macs fault, but this is where i will agree in part of what your saying. Lets get new assistants, and see what this team can do. If nothing changes, then Mac has go to go.

Im sorry, but when your in charge, and your players and employees are not doing as they are told, coached, and expected it is there fault. The downsided is, it comes back to you too.

    Re: Mac Deserves Extension

Sarcasm noted, but how is it Dan's fault that Davis fumbles on the 5 and Singletong tries to pick up a ball on the 15 and fumbles? Do you honestly think with a better coach those mistakes would not have been made? Those were the two biggest plays of the game, and in my opinion, the reason we lost.

Spank- you didn't even listen to the game today, so why don't you just close your trap!

    Re: Mac Deserves Extension

Wouldn't know. Didn't listen to it, except for the last 10 minutes. Didn't want it to ruin my day. My guess is:

    A) Mac's lost the team
    B) The team's given up
    C) A or B
    D) All of the above

    Re: Mac Deserves Extension

Of course I was kidding. Mac's responsible for the program. He's already fired asst. coaches in the past. Last year was his big chance for a great year, and he blew it with conservative play calling in critical times and poor schemes in overtime. It's time for someone else to step in. Blandboy, you've got it right.

You're right...I took the weekend off (just like the team). Only I had fun.

<inkeepingwiththethemeofthisthread>My friend in the Cyclone Athletic Department tells me other Big XII AD's are constantly telling Pollard what a fine job DMac does at ISU. I hear they think he's so great they're each willing to kick in $100,000 per year towards his salary so long as we keep him! Baylor & KU are so happy they're out of the basement that they've each offered $150K next year, which will account for his raise...</inkeepingwiththethemeofthisthread>

Not bad iccyfan...I like it. I think the Hawkeyes would be happy to add to the pot.

Something is wrong, but I don't think any of the answers are in this post. Players have started to be vocal in support of their coach, and the team has not given up, but they play like they've lost their confidence.
