    Re: southern Indian Earthquake

Indiana is on eastern time so if it was 4:37 Eastern I was in bed but if it was 4:37 Central I was just getting in my car to head to work and didn't feel a thing.

It says in the CNN article that it could be felt in Des Moines. Man i wish I would not of been sleeping that would of been cool to feel a earthquake in Iowa.

    Re: southern Indiana Earthquake

I just got off the phone with my mom she lives in Carbondale-she stated that it woke her and my dad up while they were sleeping. She stated that it was 37 miles north of Evansville, Indiana. She also stated that it lasted a while also

I felt the thing in St. Louis, MO. It was pretty weird. Woke me up. My bed was shaking just a bit. After it was over, I cursed the heavens and then went back to bed.

I didn't feel it but it woke up my 9 month old daughter. KCCI this morning was saying that it was felt from Ohio to South Dakota.

I had to laugh a little when the lady called the radio station from Iowa City and said she felt the earthquake shaking her mobile home.

    Re: southern Indiana Earthquake

I remember after Loma Prieta in 1989 everyone was convinced that Indiana was going to be rocked by a "big one". We did earthquake drills in Northern Indiana every day for like a week in school. Felt pretty stupid after nothing happened. I guess they were just 20 (gaw can it be THAT long ago?) or so years off :D

Yeah, I remember that earthquake as a kid (growing up in Davenport we felt it).

I guess this is just proof positive that if World War 3 breaks out I'll sleep right through it...

    Re: southern Indiana Earthquake

It woke me and my wife up. We live in St. Louis. Our house was actually shaking quite a little bit, more so than when an 80 mph windstorm came through 2 years ago. I jumped up and was trying to figure out what the hell was going on. If I wasn't so out of it and confused, it probably would have been a little scary.

    Re: southern Indiana Earthquake

I live in Pleasant Hill and was lying in bed around 4:30 debating whether to get up or not and a lamp started to rattle. I assumed it was the cat but when I looked over there was no cat. I was thinking either earthquake or a poltergeist.....
