    Marty & Miller

I've really enjoyed listening to these guys the past few weeks. I usually only catch 30-60 minutes of their show each day but it's been entertaining. I like listening to them much better than Cotlar...

But anyway, did anyone hear the show yesterday and them just crucifying KDSM for showing the Bears/SF game over the KC/Seattle game?? Everything from their staff to decision making to their building...it was classic. They made some excellent points though.

Fox doesn't get a chance often to showcase the Chiefs since they are an AFC team so when they do, they get a GIFT that Seneca Wallace is making his 1st NFL start but they still choose to go with the Chicago/SF game (which is fine with me because I'm a diehard Bears fan).

They interviewed someone from KDSM and Marty was grilling him pretty good but the guy held his own. He said that the game was set earlier in the week. Well, I heard that same guy on Cotlar this morning basically calling out Marty saying that if Marty shaved his head on the 4th Quarter on Fox, he would get the KC game to air. Now I don't know if he was joking but it didn't seem like it. That's so unprofessional its funny.

He is basically telling his audience (where the Chiefs are the #1 draw) that he won't show their game. But if Marty Tirrell shaves his head, then he will?!? WTF is that all about? What a clown.

Anyone else hear any of this?

    Re: Marty & Miller

Because the game is played in KC, an AFC venue, it can only be aired by KCCI, CBS. Therefore, these are the people that they need to get on about this.

Not true, Fox has the rights to this game, not CBS.

    BROADCAST
FOX (12:00 PM CT): Matt Vasgersian, JC Pearson, Jay Glazer (Field reporter). SIRIUS: 158 (Sea.), 128 (KC.).

That doesn't matter. Do you think that KDSM Fox 17 would be talking about why they chose the Bears/SF game over the KC/Seattle game if they couldn't even show the Chiefs game??

Fox can show AFC home games against NFC teams and CBS can show NFC home games against AFC teams, that's how it works.

KDSM has always made bone headed decisions when it comes to the NFL. I remember several years ago (late 90's?) that KDSM actually pre-empted NFL coverage to show an exhibition Hawkeye basketball game.

I think Seneca gets Seattle the win in his first career start, especially with the news that Damon Huard is injured. Kansas City will be down to their third string QB.

    Re: Marty & Miller

I dont know if you heard this, but they went to the extent of having a Manager of Harrison sports call in and reinsure that by far KC apparel is more popular than bears. This was last night around 5:30 or so.

That show is really good. I actually enjoy both Marty and Miller, and Cotler and Co.

I just hate the guy in between them thats from LA. Lets pause after every thing i say. 10 secs. of dead silence.

Marty Tirrell is the biggest blubbering idiot and all he does is sit and yell at every caller kissing the Hawks butt and rubbing salt in the wounds of every Cyclone fan.

    Re: Marty & Miller

The grilling of KDSM was classic. I tuned in at 4:00pm and they started the show off grilling ch 17. Then I listened again at 6:45 and they were still hammering the point that it was a terrible decision - and I agree with Marty & Miller - what a bonehead move. I hope the phones are ringing off the hook over at that second class station.

Cycloneworld, I had to fight my instinct to give you neg rep when I read that you are a bears fan. I used to think so highly of you. I am a niners fan so I really can't talk trash.

At least you aren't from LA and have to listen to LA talk all the time. I'm sick of the Lakers and USC. That's all I hear about all year on Sport's Radio. Who's the guy from LA you are talking about?

You still get to talk trash to Bears fans though...you have had a little more success in the last 15 years that we have...

However, you are now suffering through the losing seasons that we just got done with...good luck with that.
