    Nursing home patients have rights

To treat our employees and fellow workers fairly.
When a male resident at Kildegaarden nursing home in Denmark made an indecent sexual proposal to a member of the staff, the home's director, Inger Marie Kristensen, told a nurse to telephone for a prostitute.

``There was a considerable change in his demeanor after the escort girl had paid him a visit,'' Kristensen said in an interview. ``We do this for our clients just as we offer them other services that they need as human beings.''

Residents at the Kildegaarden home have rights under the current laws, no matter how old they are. And Danes are getting older.

``Basically this is a matter of respecting the elderly and their needs,'' she said.

How do they bill insurance for that?

Re: Nursing home patients have rights

Maybe TMI, but when I was 13, I was in a burn ward/intensive care for several months. During that time, I passed through puberty, and developed a certain extremely common for pubescent boys "condition" which prevented me from voiding certain wastes. (couldn't pee). There was an elaborate and painful process for relieving this, and the candy-striper was required to measure my fluid output, to ensure I was both properly hydrated and was passing all of my fluids.

Now, the candy-striper, (who was pretty hot, as an aside), took about 30 seconds to realize that there was a much easier, less painful and quicker way to accomplish this, and did so, whenever supervision was lax, so she could finish her chores quicker.

I'm pretty sure this violated some medical ethics, but I for one, was extremely reluctant to complain....

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Well, since her name was Jennifer, that of course suspends my disbelief.
