    Tailor Recommendations?

Since I lost a bunch of weight I've got some suits that are a little large but I still like them. Has anyone had any experience with a DM-area tailor that might be able to take them it a little? Is that even possible?

I was just about to post a similar question. I just bought some suits online and need to get them altered a bit.

    Re: Tailor Recommendations?

It should be possible. There is a tailor on 60th and Ashworth in WDM called Jung Tailor. From what I've seen he does a great job and I'm assuming reasonably priced. I had some pant legs hemmed for $10/pair, $15 if there is an inner lining. Obviously it would cost more to get the whole thing taken in.
I've also used Tailoring by Lechi on Grand near 4th in WDM. She seems good, too, but very hard to understand. I think she charged $15 to take in a pair of pants. Haven't gotten them back yet, so I don't know how she did on that part, but she did a good job hemming pant legs too.

I take my stuff to Seng's Custom Tailor and have had good success at a reasonable price. Most recently with a lambswool dinner jacket. It is located at 4038 University Ave in Des Moines. An excuse to stop for dinner at the Wave after you drop it off!

That sounds good. I've got 2 coats in particular that are a little large on me now. I'm afraid I may have lost too much that the coats are un-taken-in-able.
