Would one of the moderators mind re-setting this as a poll?

    Re: Would you rather?

Wow!!! What a poll this one is. Win the last 4, go to a bowl game and then tell Mac to hit the road.....OR.....Wish we lose the last 4 so we can shut up the bashers and fire Mac, but we keep him.

What possible info can anyone get from a poll like this????? Good grief people!!!

I added a couple more options to the poll, since I don't think anyone wants either.

    Re: Would you rather?

Can we have an option that we vote to have only one Mac/ISU bashing thread and one positive Mac/ISU thread per week? That way we don't have to read the same things on every thread. Please?

It wouldn't even bother me if they had more then one of each, as long as they came up with a new point to support their argument(imagine that). All I see on each bashing threads are:

    1. He's only beaten 2 teams over .500 record at the end of season.
    2. His eternal optimism even when things are going perfect for him and the team(like that is a crime, hell, he should fire himself for that) joking
    3. All he takes us to is mediocre bowl games
    4. If he hadn't beaten EIU 6 out of the last 9 seasons, he woulda been gone long ago.
    5. I'm thankful for where Mac has brought us, but he can do no more.
    6. The only way I am donating money is if it's earmarked for Mac's contract buyout
    7. Jamie Pollard has to do the right thing at the end of the season.
    8. We should all turn our backs to the team and boo when they come on the field this week( sign of REAL intelligence)
    9. I hope they lose all the remaining games so they have no choice but to fire Mac....this one absolutely blows my mind. Definition of fair weather fan
    10. Man I could coach better then Mac, or Cotton, or Skladany, or whoever although it is obvious to the contrary. Prove it or shut the hell up
    11. If they don't get rid of Mac, I'm done buying season football tickets---This one actually doesn't bother me because I am hoping these knee jerk brain scientists are the chronic bitchers in the stands around me complaining and whining and saying "Mac you suck" or "Stevie Hicks is terrible" or "Meyer must be blind" crap. If they don't show up, I don't have to turn around and risk bodily injury telling some drunk obnoxious piece of crap to shut his pie-hole.

You can find these 11 arguments repeated thousands of times and repeated again on the same thread only named a little differently so a new fire can be started on the same burnt our arguments. blah blah blah
All of these little Jamie Pollard wannabee's need to watch JP and trust him to make a hard decision one way or the other at the end of the season. Whether it is replacing the whole works, or replacing assistants here and there, I will trust Pollard to make the right decision.
Mac bashers, either find new arguments or start your threads on how our basketball team is going to be great this year, or at least until we lose one game YOU don't think we should lose and then the Mac bashing will continue(hoping not REALLY) only with a little different flavor.

And, for any football players who unfortunately have to read some of the crap on these boards, KNOW THAT THE MAJORITY OF US FANS HAVE FAITH IN YOU AND APPRECIATE THE EFFORT YOU GUYS PUT FORTH TO KEEP A BUNCH OF GROWN MEN AND WOMEN HAPPY, ESPECIALLY IF THEY FORGET YOU ARE ONLY 18-22 YR OLDS WHO ARE GIVING YOUR BEST. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND BRING US HOME A VICTORY THIS WEEKEND. GO ISU

    Re: Would you rather?

This is a pretty comprehensive list. I am sure someone will make one about the pro mac crowd. Everyone has a right to say what they want here, but I just think it doesn't need to be repeated in 7 threads a day.

    Re: Would you rather?

C'mon people, "Would you Rather" is just a simple party game. Take a couple of impossible options and come to consensus. Of course this question isn't impossible just unlikely. We just fired a basketball coach who never had a losing season, moved a wrestling coach who competed at the national level and let go one of the best gymnastic coaches in the country. On the other hand JP says Mac's the guy who can take ISU to the next step, he certainly is a big improvement over the previous decade.

We need to quit talking about wanting to lose and not being ISU fans and all the other crap.

This was not meant to be a poll, the game doesnt work that way. This question is why would you want to fire a winning coach or why would you want to keep a coach if we finish last in the Big 12.

    Re: Would you rather?

I forget...how many games has Mac won against teams that finished with winning conference records? I forget...

How many years has he had to build a program?

I just wish someone would come forward to actually explain the facts...

    Re: Would you rather?

Winning out and winning a bowl game would be great. At this point if the team and Mac plus asst. coaches showed that much improvement I would want them tested to make sure they were not taked over by space alliens. I just don't see it happening. A solid win at KSU would help to change my mind set.
