    Craig Brackins

I found this on basketball recruiting website. It listed Brackins as the 4th best performer at the Cactus Classic this May

    Here is what they say

    4. Craig Brackins, Lancaster (Calif.) Brewster Academy document.write(insertImage('/IMAGES/PROSPECT/PHOTO/CRAIGBRACKINS11_14100.JPG', '', 0, 120, 100, 1, '', 'Rivals.com', 1144068953000, '', 1014, 'Align=Right'));Position: Power forward
    Height: 6-foot-9
    College choice: Undecided
Cactus Classic stats (7 games): 10.5 pts, 4.5 reb, 1.3 blk
Speaking of potential NBA players, Craig Brackins needs to be in the discussion.
With his long arms and high shoulders at a good 6-foot-9, Brackins scored in the post with nifty foot work and both left handed and right handed jump hooks. He also has a nice shooting touch out to the three-point line and handles the ball and passes it with poise. On the defensive end, Brackins was one of the top shot blockers at the event and proved to be very difficult to score over. One of his better defensive plays of the weekend was when he missed a three-pointer from the corner and then sprinted to the other end and other side of the court to block a shot in transition. Not afraid of contact and willing to mix it up inside, Brackins does get pushed around at times and needs to get stronger and learn to play with a lower center of gravity. But the fact is that as good as Brackins is now, his best ball lies ahead of him.

yeah and w/ a stud PG (Dominique) coming in, things are looking WAY good for the program!

this is what I call hope. Something I don't have a lot of with the football program however.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Im picking up what your laying down. I would agree that in a few years, the Magic in hilton will be astronomical. But lets see how the first year goes.

I just hope people don't get discouraged if we have an "average" year. I think we are going to see some solid basketball, but unless some of these new players are really really good we are going to outtalented every big 12 game. Minus maybe Neb. and Colorado.....

Absolutely. By far McD has stepped up and done something for this program for recruting right off the bat, now he just needs to translate it onto the floor. And after the work he did with UNI, i dont see that being a problem.

It shows that you dont always need TRADITION, to get the players you desire. Sometimes you just need the right person. I hope this takes notice for the football program.

    Re: Craig Brackins

Is anyone else concerned about how it says that his college choice is undecided?

    NO!!!

The article was posted May 23, 2006 after the Cactus Classic Tourney this summer. Brackins didn't commit to us until June7.

Only if it was Stinnett who cant seem to make up his mind. It has been made pretty clear that Brackins is coming to our town, no questions asked.
