I am pretty sure he works for a sports network down in the southeast doing a basketball show. He is also doing alot of color commentary for games too.

"I took solace in the fact that every one of my brothers at ISU knew I was making the right decision, and they respected me for standing up, even before all the other news came out, and saying through my actions that I don't believe in what is going on here. That took a lot of guts, I'm still surprised I did it, but frankly it was like going from Hell to Heaven."

That part kind of hurts. I understand that he is talking about his individual situation at the time.

Not to stir things up, but does this put the other rumor about why he left to sleep?

I highly doubt he would have listed the other rumor in the article as a reason for leaving...

    Re: Shane Power Transfer story

That was the rumor at the time, and has come up again, and again, and again. I don't see him making that public in an article.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

I deleted my post you are referring to, I was informed that it is best left alone. Just in case anyone is confused.

Hurts? All I could think is that his ego certainly hasn't deflated any. Not quite the whole story their Shane..

    Re: Shane Power Transfer story

I think another thing this article does is shows that other schools are wrestiling with WHY players are leaving as well. ISU fans seem to think that we have a unique problem with attrition. MSU apparently is also wondering why they have so many players leaving. Mostly, I believe that CBB has really changed in the past few years. Even 10 - 15 years ago, I don't recall this much transferring. CBB players are treating their college play time like the pros do with free agency. I think it has gotten out of hand at most schools, not just ours.

"Hell to Heaven" For casual readers that really don't know the other rumblings. Thats what I meant when I said it hurts. Hell is a pretty strong word in reference to a school he attended and we love.

    Re: Shane Power Transfer story

The rumor was posted here on CF a few months ago. It had to do with Shane and a coaches wife.

I think this will kill that other rumor. Nice to see what happened from the source instead of reading "credible sources" on the message boards.
