To take a quick look at Sagarin, UNLV is #138, Toledo is #140, and Northern Iowa is #69. So Northern Iowa was a good team.

Re: Best 3-5 Team in America?

You're right by elimination. Minnesota Golden Gophers are #44. Unbelievable. That Mason coach is pretty good at 3-5 and #44 in the country. he is playing #10 toughest schedule. #78 Iowa State has fallen to #31 toughest schedule even though they played #69 Northern Iowa, Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas Techites.

Guess our schedule is not as tough as we thought.

And our best game without a doubt. UNI. Sagarin says so.

Our strength of schedule will also go down as we play the rest of the year.

Why are we choosing? Is some company sponsoring a bowl for the two "best" teams with losing records, and letting the fans decide which teams get invited?

I can see it now..."Team A and Team B, you have been invited to participate in the Glade Air Freshener Bowl, because the fans have decided that you don't stink as bad as all the other teams with losing records...

McC is in the same boat as major programs like Virginia, Arizona, and Syracuse, leaking water like no tomorrow. Whether we plug the holes, will depend on KSU, Colorado, and Kansas. We could drown or we could make it to shore.

What do you think our final record will be?

Expect that we will be favored only in the #104 Kansas game at this point.

    KSI is #63
    Colorado is #99
    Missouri is #24.

Re: Best 3-5 Team in America?

    ISU is #78.

Connecticut is #79 and only one lower than ISU.
    Air Force is #53.
    Cincinnati is #55.
    Wyoming is #59
Ohio U and Frank Solich is #62.
    Montana is #64.
    Nevada is #66
    Western Michigan is #67.

If JP looks for lower level coaches to replace McC, this is a starting list of possibilities. Also include Mark Farley since UNI is #69 and Boise State Dan Hawkins replacement.

So just how does Montana recruit? They take Colorado leftovers?
