    Music Downloading 2

Is there anyway to adjust the volume of my music downloads to get some consistency?

Most players (iTunes, MusicMatch(or whatever Yahoo calls it now), etc...) have a volume leveling feature.

Ok I'll look for that, will this carry over to any cd's I burn?

No. At least not in iTunes. You'll need a separate app for that. Something like this:
    MP3Gain (MP3Gain)

On a side note, is there a new music download site that is free. I read about it somewhere, but can't remember the name.

There's Spiralfrog, which I have checked out, but they don't really have much I'm interested in, and there's Qtrax, which has promised free downloading, but has failed to strike a deal with the major labels last I checked.

LMAO at what happened to the previous thread.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

I downloaded Qtrax and was really excited about it, until they got in a big fight with the record companies.

MediaMonkey has a leveling tool built into it - simply select the tracks, select the leveling option and it does it for ya. :)

There is a free version of MediaMonkey and this feature is part of it.

    Re: Music Downloading 2

Also if you want a really cool audio editing app thats free, check out Audacity. It does pretty much everything you would ever want to do with an audio file. As for music downloading, I personally don't use any of these programs to download music, but Ares works well as well as Bittorrent, Limewire is good but doesn't work at college. Other than those programs anything you download will have massive amounts of spyware on them, and even downloading those I had to run a spyware scan and remove components, totally worth it though.
