At least we don't have to recruit against Wisky anymore!

Wisconsin has two '09 commits, and another '08 commit this year, so they won't have any more available schollies for the spring signing period this year, or for the fall/spring signing period next year. I think that makes Pomlee a very real possibility as a guy we will bring in with this class. He will bring toughness and rebounding ability. He usually plays a lot better than he did in the state tournament too.

Not impressed with Pomlee all that much. He is lacking a lot of skills that we would need for a big man. Besides, will he be able to get into school?

I think grades are his main issue.

Wisky will still have scholarships available. Full rosters rarely means full rosters.

Not real thrilled about Pomlee. I'm not sure the coaching staff is either, otherwise we probably would have gotten a committment by now.

I agree. I think Pomlee is "Plan E" but maybe that's where we're at right now.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Pomlee wants to go to Wisconsin, and that we're pretty much his backup plan as well.

If Pomlee has grade issues, I don't think he'll be wanted here. Pollard even has said during his interview with Jon Miller that the APR issue here means the coaches have to be very careful and very selective when it comes to players. McD cannot afford to take academic risks.

Then, from my own personal standpoint, Pomlee has made it well known that he wants to go to Wisconsin, and ISU would only be a backup. I don't like being someone's fall back option. But, my opinion doesn't matter and the staff will do what they think is best.

I have nothing against LA, but in the times I have seen him, three years ago and then again this year, his offense has not really progressed. He is an offensive project. He can bring high-major defense, and he is a high major athlete, but he has limited offensive skills. I don't think he is a fit in Mac's system.

Toughness and Pomlee don't go hand in hand from the couple games I have watched him. I watched him during the season and he didn't play any better during that game than he did during the tourney. He is not a high d1 player

I only saw him play once but, I think it's safe to say his game and attitude is a lot like Taggert's.

Now is that Taggart's game and attitude during a injury-plauged freshmen season at ISU or Taggart's game and attitude this last season at Memphis?

    Is there a difference?

Kelvin Cato didn't have a lot of offensive skills, either. But he played high major defense and was a high major athlete.
