    CJ?

I was working at the Rec center today and noticed that Cory was still practicing with the team. Well they were flipping a tire over-jumping through it-and running around it...Looks like they were having fun with it but I was just wondering if he is just working out with the team while he is still inrolled here at ISU and any word on were he will end up playing next year?

I imagine he has to remain in school to remain eligible for next season. I never thought CJ was one to hold it against the staff or his teammates.

More importantly, he has to leave ISU in academic good standing so he does not hurt our APR!

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Anyone heard any further rumors as to where he might be headed?

I've heard maybe dII champion Winona State, they can have 10 schollies a year, and they're close to his home. Nothing concrete though.

That would make sense. Am I the only one who thinks he could be a great fit at Drake?

I don't think he would be. He's not a good outside shooting big man, and is a poor defender. He can score in bunches though.

Actually, Cory is a great shooter, ask anyone who is close to the team. He just never got the chance to show it.

Yeah I do. I think he would be a great fit in almost any mid-major league where his height would not put him at such a disadvantage down low. He could be a pretty prolific scorer at a smaller level, he has great moves around the basket.

I'm not convinced yet that we will pick anybody up in the spring signing period who will help us more than he would have next year. I do think he probably made the right decision for himself though, to go somewhere where he can be a starter and important player and not a 5-10 minute guy.

You're right.....I watched him in high school when he was a tall, skinny wing man. He was a great outside shot and got most of his points away from the bucket. That's why Michigan State offered him a scholarship during his sophomore year. I think his lack of quickness is what hurts him from being able to play his natural role as a 3.

    Re: CJ?

CJ is visiting Drake this week and then heading up to Winona the week after. I believe Vette will be at Winona next year as well.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
