    Hellboy II

I dont know if many of you liked the first one, but this is the new preview for the sequel. I liked the 1st alot. I think Guillermo has a great artistic vision for his creatures and cinematography in general. Pans Labrynth was odd, but beautiful (in a manly way) =)

I suggest you watch the HD version to get the full experience.

Rumor has Guillermo del Toro directing the cinema adaption of 'The Hobbit' (being done in two parts) with Jackson producing. I hope that comes true. Guillermo del Toro does really good cinematography.

    Re: Hellboy II

The 1st movie was very good. I wasnt expecting much , but it really surprised me. I knew of the comic book when I was younger, but didnt know a thing about it. I watched the trailer earlier tonight and thought it might be as good as the 1st.

The only negative is some of the corny looking creatures that Red gets to blast.

Never got into it because all he is is strong and quick to shoot a gun. You never see what his true potential could be which made me mad. Also his lines were really corny in the movie. Just my opinion.

I just have to comment upon this comment about Cinematography. The director doesn't shoot the film, he just directs the actors, gives the DP information on how he envisioned the scene and shots, and the DP then takes that and lights the shot and designs the shot. The DP should get all credit on the Cinematography, it's his job. That's why they used to be called cinematographers. The director always gets all the praise when a lot of times it's the DP that makes the actor and the scene look good because of his lighting and camera position. Don't get me started on Directors. 90% of the time, they are the most inexperienced people on set. I can go on and on about them, but I'll just bore you.

However I do agree that Guillermo rocks. I love the guy. He is very, very talented. Was brought up doing horror films, a la John Carpenter, and he's made some great films in the recent year showing he is a great director.

    HBII - TRAILER VIDEO

Clip from the movie. A nice little sword fight scene. I am pumped for this movie. Guillermo is quite a visionary.

Went and saw this today. Loved every minute of it. Just a fun fun summer movie. The drunken singing was a great moment and the action was fantastic.

    Re: Hellboy II

Guillermo Del Toro is a fantastic director. I saw Pan's Labyrinth, and I've been a fan ever since. If any of you liked that movie, you need to check out The Orphanage... he didn't direct, but he produced, and his presence in the project is obvious.

It's not rumor he's directing the Hobbit, either.

    Re: Hellboy II

I liked the first one better. But I think this one is gonna lead to a third one. No cliff hangers or anything, I just feel like they were giving us a glimpse of the underworld that exists in the story and the third one will really display it. I really enjoyed the costume design and the creatures. They were amazing, but the story was kind of lame.

    Re: Hellboy II

Saw an interview with GDT the other day saying he had already gotten a house in New Zealand and planned to live there for the next 3 to 4 years while filming the Hobbit Duology.
