When you say 2008-2009 I assume you want me to include the Orange bowl we win.

My kool-ade only gets us to 6 wins. 4-0 then only two conference wins.

I think it all depends on how we do in our non-conference schedule. Obviously we lost some confidence heading into Big XII play, hopefully this year will be much different.

This one has a poll though! These threads are fun. I also realized I picked us to lose the last 5 games. That would be depressing.

    Re: Football wins 2008-09

I think SDSU will be a coming out party for Arnaud/Bates. We should be able to handle Kent State this time. I think we'll lose a close game at Iowa and a close game at UNLV. I don't see us winning again until Nebraska and Texas A&M -- both of whom will be welcoming new coaches. Close but entertaining wins for us in both contests. I will also go down on record as saying we'll beat Missouri in the upset special, and then close out the season with a surprising road win at K-State to finish 6-6 and become bowl eligible.

It's nice not to see Texas, OU, and Texas Tech on the schedule. Time for Gene to makes some hay.

Ive got us winning all four non-conference games then winning @Baylor and at home against A&M. 6 wins total.

I think A&M at home is a great chance for a win. A&M is slowly slipping off the top of the hill, and with a new coach, they may start tumbling.

I think 6 wins is a reasonable expectation, especially since we don't play OU or UT.

    Re: Football wins 2008-09

I just have a tough time picking Iowa against us...I looked up the roster and who is starting on the OLine and DLine for Iowa. And for the DLine I found no one who was bigger that 300lbs. where as KO is EASILY over 300 pounds. I could see us OWNING that position and just is too hard to pick Iowa

I wouldnt be surprised if we are fighting down to the last minute for a win against SDSU.
