    Virgle: VERY STRANGE?!

    Google-Virgin: Virgle

I ran across this crazy website about the colonization of the planet Mars. It was on the home page of Google yesterday and it's gone today (makes me think it has something to do with April Fools). Anyways, if it's legit, it kind of makes one think about the reality of having a counterpart world in our own solar system. I also think it brings a whole new set of ethical questions about lots of things. Things like, what happens if there's a dispute or war between the worlds... Anyways, any one else have thoughts or comments about this?

"I think that people are responding to someone standing up and saying this is what we want to do and let's not be afraid to go for it,'' Pollard said. "I think Iowa State has a very conservative, modest background. We never pound our chest and say `Let's do it.' It's OK to set a goal. You can't do it if you don't say what you want to do. You should be proud of it.''

It was an April Fool's joke.

Geez, the best stories always happen on 1 Apr, and then, whoosh, they are gone or rebutted. A Mars colony would be awesome. That could create a lot of jobs. We should have had a successful big man recruiting story for April Fools day. Maybe next year.

I think a war between Earth and Mars would depend largely on who builds a Death Star first. If Mars is an Earth colony, we might build a Death Star to keep them in check, and then Mars would revolt (kind of like the American Revolution). On the other hand, Mars could build a Death Star to lash out against their oppressive masters on Earth. In which case we'd probably just build a fleet of X-Wings, and we all know that small one-man fighters can penetrate a Death Star's defenses and locate the exhaust port that is only 2 meters wide.

In those scenarios would the planet that controlled a Death Star also have a fleet of Star Destroyers? Sorry if that was assumed.

As a hypothetical aside, what would happen if both planets constructed a Death Star. Since there is already a model, it is conceivable this could hapen. Then what if the two Death Stars fired at each other at exactly the same time and the lasers hit each other in mid air?

have you ever got caught outside In a strong rainfall? Yes or NO. If it"s yes, then you might half felt the pane of hard(tought) rain on you head. If it hurt"s then it"s tough. Yes or no. Okay I'm right and you know it.

What would happen if the Death Star was on a treadmill?

The sad thing is that people will probably be living on Mars or the moon within the next few generations.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

I would assume that Star Destroyers would also be involved, yes. However, based on the literature available I can also only assume that the Star Destroyers would only be used to keep the enemy from escaping, rather than actively engaging in combat.

We know that the Death Star's laser is powerful enough to pierce planets and destroy them in a single shot. I can only assume that if two Death Stars fired at each other straight on, at exactly the same time, that both would be destroyed.

Only 2 meters wide? That's like shooting wombats back home.

I imagine it would be something like this...

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
