    The Sandvigs and Schmidgall . . .

all appear to be healthy; great news.

At Cyclones.com, I noticed in Saturday's scrimmage report that Alex Sandvig caught a pass. Within the last couple of days, older brother Zac was mentioned for his secondary work.

In video linebacker drills from Saturday, no. 24 looked fit and healthy (I assume Derec Schmidgall is no. 24, anyway).

Just really good to see these guys coming back from injury and appearing to be at full speed. There has been speculation here and about that either one or both Sandvigs might be done, but this isn't the case.

Both Sandvig's are in my Accounting 215 class and they both look pretty good coming off of injuries.

IOW, they're not gimping about the classroom?

IIRC, Zac was running first team CB for most of last spring. I recall also that at the Nike Camp he attended at Manhattan, Kan., before arriving at ISU, he recorded the second-fastest shuttle time of all campers (4.19, maybe?).

Best wishes to both Sandvigs for a healthy return and many good times ahead.
