    # 1 seed going down?

KU has finally worked it's way to a number one seed. With the history as of late, I'm hoping this is the year that we see a 1 go down. I know you can do it KU. Don't let me down!

It would be great but not a chance a #16 beats a #1

That would make me the happiest person you've ever seen! Extreeeeeeeemly unlikely, but 'no chance' is incorrect, that's why they play the games.

Re: # 1 seed going down?

I think out of all the #1 seeds, KU has the best chance to lose the first round game. That being said, it's still very unlikely. Portland St. isn't a pushover though.

Oh well, in my bracket I tentatively have KU losing to Kent State in the second round anyway. I haven't finalized it yet though.

Is anyone else pulling for USC to beat K-State? I think Tim Floyd will coach circles around Frank Martin. I usually like to go for Big 12 teams when it's tournament time, but K-State is not one of them.

I just picked KU out of a hat in my pool so now I have to root for them for any shot to get my $50 back.

My brain says you're lucky for drawing them, my heart says you're unlucky that you have to root for them. If I were you, I'd just cut $50 out of other areas of my budget and root against them

I don't think KU will win it. Something just tells me they will choke in the sweet sixteen or elite eight.

Re: # 1 seed going down?

I hate KU as much as anyone, but all losing in the first round would do is ruin credibility of the conference. We really need someone from the Big12 to win the championship sometime soon. Pac10 has had champions recently. SEC has had plenty, The Big 10 has had a few. The Big East has had a bunch.
The Big12 has to go back to the 1980's for our last championship. We can never close the deal. My opinion is go for the Big12 North Teams over the south during the season and then the Conference as a whole in the tourney.
Again, This is hard because I really can't stand KU or Nebraska the most.

remember when we all felt that great when we saw a high seed lose in the first round? what a great day that was!

Who cares about the credibility of the conference, we're at the bottom of it. I hate KU, I hope they go down in history as the first ever 1 seed to lose. Next year, when ISU is in the top half of the conference, I will care about the conference credibility.
