    Re: Professional athletes do care

There are good athletes out there, but the reality is, I think people would rather hear about the bad ones. I think people like to hear about the toubles that rich people get into. Just the sicko society that we live in. JMO

Don't get me wrong, I love to hear the good stories, and get alittle teared up (I am a big softy)

Another reason why Pujols is my fav current player, and will end up one of the best when it's all over.

    Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
    'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Exactly. He's one of the best players in the MLB, but also one of the best humanitarians in the MLB.

Wasn't there a Professional Athlete that heard about some kid's motorized wheelchair getting busted acouple of years ago, and he went and bought the kid a new one that was pretty expensive?
