Dominique and his Romulus teammates poured on the defense and took down a taller team -- that was predicted to win -- to advance in the State Tournament. Dominique was not the leading scorer but had eight assists. Romulus now faces Detroit Pershing on Friday in the semifinals. Detroit Pershing is also a defensive team so this should be a tough game.

By the way, Dominique did not win the Michigan Mr. Basketball award. He came in fourth (of the four) by a considerable margin. The award did not go to the Michigan State recruit as expected; instead it went to a Class B player who averaged 37 points a game. He will be going to Xavier.
