    Estimate for Sat Crowd?

Anyone hear? It will be interesting to see coming off back to back sellouts.

While I am sure I am preaching to the choir here, regardless of how we feel about the future of DMac, we all need to be out and loud Saturday. I urge each of us to be positive for the team and cheer loudly not boo throughout the game. Do your part and keep your sections positive and save the complaining (if there is a need for any) for after the game. We have a lot of important recruits for both basketball and football at this game. Remember choosing to exercise your right to boo etc. will be heard by players we are trying to convince that ISU has the best fans and best coaches in football and basketball.

It's getting colder outside, much like our teams play, so you know what that does to our "faithful", diehard fans. Ill be there at 8:30 when my lot opens. Lets face it, 60%(give or take) of our football fans suck!

    Very, very well said.

I politely asked a fan to stop booing at the Nebraska game. He then went into a profanity-laced tirade. Someone else told him to shut up - so - he left.

Don't forget it's Homecoming. That typically gets a few more into JTS. I'm hoping for around 45k.

I know the experience...I start with an angry glare (which usually works) and then try to talk to them. Most are really good about it, and just are struggling to express their frustration. I tell them if you have to send JP an email, go to sites like CF, or kick the dog, but just keep JTS and Hilton incredible and positive environments

    Re: Estimate for Sat Crowd?

The forecast calls for a 50% chance of rain and a high of 47°
That kind of weather could scare away a few thousand fans.
(I hope not... I'll be there yelling til I'm hoarse)

This, in my estimation, is the only chance of a sellout.

And for the good of the basketball program with P'Allen in town, please don't boo the team.

I would guess 44,987. Give or take a couple thousand.

    Re: Estimate for Sat Crowd?

IF it were going to be a nice day and with it being Homecoming, I would have thought 45K-50K.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast is a high of 45, 15-20mph winds, and 40-50% chance of rain. Given that and our recent performance on the field, I'm guessing we'll be lucky to put 40K in their seats. I still think tickets sold will be 45K or greater, but actual live attendance will be significantly below.

    That said...I'll be there.

    Re: Estimate for Sat Crowd?

I would be happy with 45,000 for this game because of the fact that there will be a dropoff for those spouses that don't want to go to a cold rainy game, the bandwagon fans and then those who donate nothing and are stupid enough to think that by staying home they are sending JP a message. Coming off of two 55,000 plus crowds and going by the weather and the record I would love to see 45,000 fans. No matter how many are there, we need to be loud and cheer these guys on.

    Re: Estimate for Sat Crowd?

I was back at the ISU-Nebraksa game. I live in Chicago now and make it back to roughly one game a year and was embarrassed sitting next to the ISU fans in our section with their non-stop complaining about coaching and players, etc. It was ridiculous and I felt ashamed to be a Cyclone fan. Seems like we are turning into what Hawkeye fans used to be. We told one fan to be quiet as well and he went off at us, but luckily others supported us and he left as well.

Is this common now at ISU fb games with all the negativity?
