    Haluska

shooting 47% from three in the last 12 games.

    Not bad.

Just an interesting stat after starting off 0-9964395

    Re: Haluska

I was probably labeled one of the biggest Haluska "haters" before the season, but anyone would have to admit he has been a big part of the team the last few weeks. I am looking forward to watching Sean play next year as well and I think he may give us the chance to redshirt Ike and let him gain some weight.

Good job by him and I'm very happy he's a Cyclone.

    Re: Haluska

He hasn't done a bad job of shooting the midrange jumper or getting to the basket quickly when it's been there.

Behind Garrett, Sean has been our most improved player. Which is good, because our guard play really needed improvement.

The fact that he's a good shooter and can play pretty good defense will yield him at least 20-25 minutes a game next year.

Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. Does this mean that we can't panic when something doesn't go well right away? Seems that might ruin the message boards.

    Re: Haluska

In fairness to those that were not fans of Sean, he did have a rather long streak of missing shots. Anyone in their right mind would be a little upset with 0-26 or whatever it is from a 3-point shooter. I knew what the kid could do and was a fan of him right away.

I'm just glad he worked himself out of that slump (just as I am glad Brackins has worked himself out of his funk) and is playing well.

    Re: Haluska

I really was a fan at the beginning. It makes this part so much more fun.

I like to kid about things like this, because I spend a lot of real life time trying to encourage people not to make real rash decisions. Maybe, just maybe, things take time to develop. Or, maybe patience just isn't fun enough....

    Re: Haluska

I always knew that GMac had confidence enough in Haluska to encourage him to keep shooting, and that was enough for me. Very glad he didn't go 0-52 though.

Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

    Re: Haluska

Sean in the begining of the season seemed to rush his shots. Now he has a lot more confidence and is not rushing. I think some or a lot of that has to do with coaching and not giving up on a player with potential.

That is not true. He was only 0 - 9964394. No need to make it sound worse.

    Re: Haluska

I will always be a Haluska Hater due to Adam. However, Sean was the MVP in half of our Big XII wins. Colorado -- 3 of 5 from the field, 2 of 3 from 3-point range, 9 total points -- CLUTCH DOWN THE STRETCH! Nebraska -- 4 of 7 from the field, 3 of 3 from 3-point range, 12 total points -- SPURRED BIG EARLY 2ND HALF COMEBACK. Go Sean! Go Cyclones!

I agree. Anyone who thinks we are going to be bad based solely on the fact that Haluska and Petey are still going to get minutes is way off. They are going to provide some depth that we may have not imagined at the beginning of this season.
