    Nebraska vs Texas

Iowa State has played both teams, how do you guys see this game shaking out?

When I look at the stats, it's surprising on paper how equal these teams are. I see this being a 4 quarter game with perhaps a slight edge to Nebraska just because it's in Lincoln.

    IMO...

    USC > Nebraska

    Texas > USC

    Therefore...

    Texas > Nebraska

    Re: Nebraska vs Texas

I see it being game one of two this year. Being at home, this is probably the Huskers' better chance to win. However, I don't see Nebraska winning either game.

    Re: Nebraska vs Texas

It will be close, but Texas will win, at least this time, the corners are still vulnerable at Nebraska and if McCoy can sling it out to Sweed and the other guys, they should win. It will be a close game, Texas is overrated, as is Nebraska, so we shall see. If McCoy gets pressured a lot and forced to make some bad decisions I would think Nebraska could very well win this game.

I see Nebraska getting it handed to them on a silver platter with a delightful lemon butter sauce and sprig of rosemary.

Interesting fact on the game... Colt McCoy has never played a game outside of Texas. What's the weather going to be like in Lincoln on Saturday???

    Re: Nebraska vs Texas

The Texas D-Line will dominate. Nebraska will not be able to move the ball on the ground, thus removing their passing game as well. And although the Nebraska defense will play well the Texas offense will be on the field too much and eventually over power Nebraska.

    Re: Nebraska vs Texas

I think that stats can't tell the difference that's created by Texas' physical mismatches. I looked and saw that the line on the game was Texas with 6.5 points. Needless to say, I'm taking the points. I honestly don't think Nebraska will keep this game within two scores.

But I've thought a lot of things this year, and few enough of them have actually happened.

Chance of rain and a high around 50. Kickoff is 11am, so i'm guessing 40's to start with.
