    A&M

I don't think there is a more erratic team in the Big 12 (or maybe the country) than A&M. If we catch 'em on one of their off nights, I really like our chances. Especially if we can avoid giving up a 31-9 run, as we did the first time we played 'em. Keep in mind we were hanging tough with A&M until the final 2 minute mark of the first half struck.

We didn't get much from Craig, Garrett, Petey or Sean in that game - all of these guys are playing better now than they were in early February.

If I had to pick right now, I'd have us losing by around 8 - but both teams have shown the ability to play two completely different games. Hope we're polar opposites of one another Thursday night with ISU on the good end!

I don't want rashon and jiri to get blown out in their last game if they lose. Shoot I'm gonna miss those guys.

    Re: A&M

I've been saying this for the last two weeks. Our team, if they get emotionally up for the game, can play with anyone. We took the top seeded team in our conference to OT, in a game that by all rights, we should have won. If we catch a team napping, we have a decent chance to pull an upset.

Not sure how the neutral floor will treat us. We haven't done too hot in the tournament the last few years.

    Re: A&M

I think our chances are decent, though I would rather have that 12 seed. A winnable game with baylor and then a 2nd round game against OU seems like a better match up for our team. However, if we can beat aTm, maybe our team will make 3rd time a charm against K-State.

    Re: A&M

Another crappy stat from that game earlier this season - we only shot 6 foul shots all game (and made only 3 of them). I'd have to guess that was our lowest output from the line all year - or damn close to it.

With Craig playing a bit better, Garrett driving the lane and Jiri doing his usual inside - I'd have to guess we'll be much better in that aspect.

Our marquee win of the year came on a neutral floor, Purdue.

I realize that, but KC is no Hilton. I like our chances much better if we could have a second shot at A&M in Ames.

For those that are making the trip, give 'em hell (i.e., do not let them "Gig" you...whatever the F that means).

I sure hope they win at least 1 game. I have all session pass I plan to use regardless but would be nice to see the guys play more than 1 game.

    Re: A&M

In recent history, it seems we either lose right away, win our Thursday game and then lose on Friday, or go all the way and win the whole thing. We don't win 2 or 3 games then bow out. It'd be nice to win more than 1 (or none) again.

    Re: A&M

My concern with this game is that Mark Turgeon knows what to expect from a GMac team better than any other coach in the conference. But I'm not going to rule out a win. We've all seen what teams have done in the tourney when they're faced with the season ending.

    Re: A&M

Mark Turgeon knows our offense better than our players do. Keno Davis probably does too. And we will probably always have tough battles with UNI.

    Re: A&M

3 of the 5 times we've played teams twice, we've done better the 2nd time around.

    KU, K-State, Nebraska - better.

    Colorado, Mizzu - worse.

Certainly could have something to do with being at home in those first 3 games though.

The last game we got blown out in was A&M. Otherwise we held our own in every other game we played since then.
