Holy Cow! (Bears vs. Cardinals game)

Anyone been watching this? I wonder how many Bears fans turned it off.

Down the entire game, the offense playing horribly putting the defense in bad situations.

Now, after a pair of defensive scores and a long punt return for a TD - the Bears are up by one point.

Unless the rookie QB from USC can lead his team back down the field for a winning field goal or TD - this is a major, major choke for the Cards - big setback for them.

And...a very lucky win for Chicago. Maybe, just what they needed to come back to Earth.

    Stay tuned...

    Luck...more like it.

This game was the epitome of the Cards though. Their money guy misses when they need him for what could have been the biggest win in recent Cardinals history.

    Damn…

Defensive domination in the 2nd half which leads to 2 defensive scores is luck! HA...whatever you need to tell yourself to sleep at night.

    A 40 yard field goal isn't a gimme (obviously).

    Bear down...Chicago Bears!

    LOL

Dude...I was pulling for the Bears. I don't care how you stroke it...they should have never, ever won that game with how the offense played and the defense performed in the first half.

Re: Holy Cow! (Bears vs. Cardinals game)

Living in Arizona I see this every weekend. When the score was 23 -3 I told my wife, "Watch, they'll find a way to lose." Luckily I've never adopted the Cardinals as "my" team, so I can watch with amusement as they let another win slip from their grasp.

Re: Holy Cow! (Bears vs. Cardinals game)

I think the Bears could go undefeated and win the Super Bowl with their defense and special teams as long as they don't let there offense take the field. Rex Grossman owes those guys dinner- 6 turnovers ouch.

I never said that you said the win didn't count....I'm not going there.

As someone else pointed out, you are pretty good at spinning things or turning them around to your advantage.

    I'm done.

Yeah, that god that I was matched up against Grossman in my fantasy league. He scored almost -12 points.

Re: Holy Cow! (Bears vs. Cardinals game)

Oh please, I wasn't spinning anything. You just don't want to admit the Bears are in fact very, very lucky to get out of that game with a win.

And on Grossman - wow. Just...wow. Worst game I've ever seen him play. Very shocked. I thought this would be his year - still can be. Just gotta bounce back.

Re: Holy Cow! (Bears vs. Cardinals game)

Let's see - two defensive touchdowns and a punt return for a touchdown to pull off a 1 point win AFTER a missed field goal. Yeah, that's not luck...

Grossman showed his true colors. He will lose the Bears games before this year is done.

I agree, the Bears did get a little bit lucky... but I tell you what, the defense was not going down without a fight last night. Urlacher and company were on fire.

And yes, Grossman definitely needs to bounce back from this... which I'm fairly confident he will.

Yeah, that defense was giving 100% and like Urlacher said - their coach wouldn't let them quit.

Really, the Bears defense didn't perform poorly last night...the offense just put them in far too many awkward situations.

Quick…what college football team does this remind you of?

Hint: They play in the Big 12, located north of Missouri, south of Minnesota, east of the Missouri River and west of the Mississippi River.

Re: Holy Cow! (Bears vs. Cardinals game)

I think the Bears best strategy to go undefeated is to punt on first down to get their defense on the field. Their defense scored 21 points while their offense scored 3 last night.
