    Re: Intermat Rankings 2/26

Notice that 13 of the top 14 teams are from the Little 11 or the Big 5. People always complain that the Little 11 gets 72 qualifiers to the National Tourney while the Big 5 gets 38 qualifiers. This leaves few spots for the ACC, PAC 10, and others.

    Re: Intermat Rankings 2/26

I saw this yesterday and still can't believe that Central Michigan is that high.
157 is going to get a lot easier next year, 6 seniors ranked in the top 10.

Looking at this I think we will have 9 qualifiers with 4 all-americans and 1 National Champ. Zabriske and Varner should be locks for AA with Sanderson, Fanthrope and Reader all having a good shot. I think Varner, Zabriske and Sanderson will be B12 champs. But anything can happen in march.

    Any predictions ISU2007?

    Re: Intermat Rankings 2/26

I think we have a great chance of getting all ten to Nationals this season. If anyone stays home it will be Scott or Mueller. Both of these guys are seeded third in the Big 12 and should get the automatic qualifier if they place 3rd. Clark, Reader, and Bertolino are 4 seeds at 3 very tough weights that should get the 3 of the 8 wild cards.

As for All American's, I really like Fanthorpe, Gallick, Sanderson, Reader, Varner, and Zabriske. I think Clark will be in the Round of 12 as well as Bertolino. I really like how Fanthorpe and Gallick have been wrestling down the stretch.

I think Fanthorpe has an outside chance at finals, and Varner should rack up 20 minutes of riding time on his way to a National Title.
