    Crowd tonight

They are talking about the KU/ISU game right now on the radio in KC calling it Hilton House of Horrors for KU over the years. Is there any weather issues in Iowa that would keep the crowd away like all the other home game in the Big 12 this year? They said that Collins won't be 100% tonight and Stewart will be out attending a funeral. I hope it is packed tonight and Hilton really becomes a House of Horrors for KU tonight.

There should be no reason why Hilton isn't packed. We need it to be very loud.

    Re: Crowd tonight

I have this feeling with an early start it won't be sold out. Students better pack that section tonight! That was pathetic that we celebrated 100 years of BB the other weekend and the only empty spots were the top rows of CA and the balcony student section. If you can't even get out for that I don't know what else you can do...

Since it's a 6:00pm start and a weeknight game, it won't be packed. The student balcony section will be empty except for the bottom 3 rows as usual and the balcony season ticket holders will be spotty as well. Guess you have to put it in perspective when you're 11th in the conference and still getting over 12,000 at a weeknight game.

Good point. With the number of KU fans that flock Hilton... that should offset the number of people/students who wont show.

Im guessing around 10-11,000 actually attend.... which would be an accomplishment.

The KU game has not been full for a few years now.

    Re: Crowd tonight

My son is a member of CA and he told me that he had to have a friend wait in line to get his tickets for this game last fall. If this is true, I expect CA and the student section to be close to full. Now, only if the "public" seats then we'll have a loud and full house to cheer on the Cyclones.

I will bet all my cybookie points that there will be hundreds of student seats open.

Based on last years KU game and this years season.

The KU tickets were picked up the same time as the tickets for Iowa game.

    Re: Crowd tonight

It is ridiculous to think that people who are able to go to games don't. I get shivers down my spine before tip-off of every game I attend, makes me feel like I am a freshman in high school and at my first game all over again.

This is a new low. We're already bashing tonight's crowd and the game is 8 hours away.

    Re: Crowd tonight

Does anyone know, did they sell the student vouchers that were not redeemed to the public, or what did they do with them? This would've seemed like the perfect way to ensure that the balcony was full.

The truth hurts, I was also upset with the student attendance at the Nebraska game/ 100 year celebration. It was a Saturday afternoon game...what else is there, use Sunday for studying/group work and its too early to be "busy at the bar". Wake up at 11, take a shower, eat a pizza, watch some early games on the tube and head to Hilton for a win, the perfect Saturday.

What truth? That the game hasn't even happened yet and we're already bashing the crowd! That's the truth and it does hurt.

I also have trouble seeing why someone would buy tickets and not come. That said, no one has failed to show up tonight yet.

I work overnight, I'm exhausted today, heading off to sleep, but my wife and I plan to make it. It's doable, if people want to make it.
