    Bar Etiquette

What's Buggin' Andy Sunday got me thinking, what are some unwritten "bar rules" that you see people constantly abuse. For instance apparently Andy would not let a woman use the men's bathroom unless she used the urinal. Check out the video clip on WHOTV.com to see what I mean, it was a good rant! We see that play out almost every time in a busy bar, girls just cut up in the men's line thinking that having a vagina gives them the right to use the guy's bathroom and on top of it cut in line doing it. We all have to pee too, wait your turn.

What other things bother you? I'll think twice about eating the peanuts at Mikey's in Clive now too. A co-worker of mine told me that one of his friends actually urinated in them one night. It was really busy and he couldn't wait so he nudged him and said "hey dude, cover me." My co-worker asked why and then saw him taking a wizz in the peanut barrell!

I never eat out of those anyway. I know too many people who have puked in them.

    Re: Bar Etiquette

I would say good bar ettiquette is having decency and not being a *******, like peeing on things in the bar. I would suspect if you act like your mom was there watching, youre probably in good shape. (yes, I know this probably doesnt apply to all)

Treat women with respect. Dont be obnoxious and unneccessarily loud. Having fun is one thing but if you are laughing alone and loud, its probably a good sign you are being a moron.

    Re: Bar Etiquette

    1. Expel ALL fluids in the bathroom, preferably in the appropriate vessel. Nothing makes a crowded bar more crowded than a six foot circle of partially digested lunch that no one will walk on the the middle of the bar floor.
    2. Be able to maintain a modicum of balance, particularly if you are walking by my table. An unintended spilling of the drink because some jack*** thought it appropriate to consume 22 Crown and Cokes and then stumble into my table is not smiled upon.
    3. Have the decency to inquire about the status of the open seat before setting up shop. Nothing like having some jerk, sober or not, determine that the seat I vacated 2.5 seconds ago is now fair game. Especially true when it is in the middle of a large group of friends, bonehead.
    4. The bar is for ordering drinks, not pontificating over the virtues of each and every drink. The bartender is not your personal concierge, and probably doesn't care that you prefer Whitebread Pale Ale over Marston's Pedigree Bitter. Order a beer and get out of the way.
    5. Tip well (especially on your first round). This is mutually beneficial. You get better service, waitress/bartender get more money.

Don't ask women multiple times to make out with you. Especially, if they have a ring on their finger and they are with 2 guys. If she says no thank you the first time, chances are that is not going to change. (This happened a few weeks ago at Welch during the afternoon. I think Keep heard him ask too. Oh, and I actually did say "no, thank you")

This one just ticks me off. In an older, more civilized time, dude should be laying out in the street with a smoking hole in his forehead.

Everyone should note that I am 29 and this guy was over 35. Nothing wrong with age in general, just old enough to know better. Funny thing is that we saw him there again a week after that with his same friends just as wasted as the first time.
