Coach Prioleau is viewed as being a candidate for the NJIT team that just went winless this season for the first time in D-I history:

Re: Prioleau could be a Head Coaching Candidate

It would be nice for him to get the job, but I love having him at ISU. He is a good coach, and without him we wouldn't have Wes.

Re: Prioleau could be a Head Coaching Candidate

The site took forever to load...but here is the text...

Look for NJIT to look to hire a Head Coach shortly. Darren Savino of Rutgers, Fred Quartlebaum of St. John's, Bill Courtney of Virginia, Jean Prioleau of Iowa State, and Danny Hurley of St. Benedict's Prep are names that we continue to hear. We are hearing that they will likely turn to a minority candidate, but nothing is official

Re: Prioleau could be a Head Coaching Candidate

Danny Hurley is a great coach, and the son of a coaching legend. There is two ISU assistants interviewing for the job, as quartlebaum used to be an ISU assistant also, under WM.

Fred Quartlebaum is also a former ISU assistant coach right? I believe he was an assistant when I was in school between 2000-2004.

Quartlebaum used to be at ISU. He was a great recruiter.

Re: Prioleau could be a Head Coaching Candidate

if quartlebaum is such a great recruiter Gmac pry should have kept him. In my opinion i feel like we are are struggeling to get the recruits we target from the beginning. Was Quartlebaum the guy who got stinson and blalock?

Quartlebaum left Iowa State prior to Wayne "leaving"? He was only an assistant at ISU for 1 season under Wayne.

Its always a good sign of your program that your assistants are even mentioned in a Coaching search.

Very true - hopefully if anyone does take other jobs GMac can bring in replacements that are as good or better.

Wayne Morgan was the guy that got Stinson and Blalock when he was an Assistant under Larry.

Wayne wasn't a great head coach, but he was a hell of a recruiter...
