Offensive Player of the Year - Chase Daniel, Adrian Petersen (tie)

Defensive Player of the Year - Alvin Bowen

Team of the Year - Missouri

Nice homer pic with Bowen. Just cuz you lead the nation in tackles doesn't mean your defensive conference player of the year. The reason he has so many tackles is cuz our D is on the field more than any other D. I will agree with your other pics though

Re: Big 12 Awards - Halfway Home

How about an award for the team in the conference with the most fans bashing there coach and giving up on a team after a 3-3 start?

bowen also has 2 picks and a few forced fumbles. he would be having a good year whether we sucked or not. he has an incredible motor. i'm very excited to have him around next year also. hopefully we can turn it around this year but i'd like some JC's to come in and help next year.

I think that is us ST8T. I am with you, don't give up.... Don't ever give up.

I jumped on this bandwagon because it was the only one going slow enough for me to catch in 1998, I am not getting off now.

I thought bowen had one pick and McKenzie (sp) had one. I still like the choice, even if some do consider it a homer.

Re: Big 12 Awards - Halfway Home

Yeah, Bowen has played as well as any one individual in the league and has been inspirationa;l to the rest of the defense. The big hits against Nebraska were basically all Bowen hits.
