    Directv & Tivo

OK, what's the trick or is there one, to hooking a tivo box up to a directv receiver. I tried it quick once and nothing seemed to work...could be I'm just not too bright.

We're going 100% directv tomorrow and want to keep my tivo box for one tv.

No idea. I do know that you should open yourself to insults on this board. Bad idea.

I have 5 of them... what is the problem exactly?

Is it a standalone tivo or a directv tivo?

standalone. When I tried it quick last fall I didn't get a feed into directv. Might be because I put tivo in the middle?

Not that it matters, but I agree. We made the switch a few months back and I have had no problems at all..

If I had one gripe it would be the placement of the pay-per-views on the guide. I just don't like them between the locals and the other channels. I understand why it's there, but I think I'd like it better if it was listed under channel 5.

We've had our HD TV on DTV for quite some time, finally decided to bite the bullet to switch to an HD DVR and move the other tv's over as well. Even with the one-time purchases of hardware, it's still cheaper per year than mediacom.
