Pryor: not just a football player

Terrelle Pryor who is the #1 football recruit in america this past year who did not sign with anybody a few weeks ago on national signing day is one heck of an athlete.

From a Rivals page. Pryor, who is also a five-star basketball player, led his team to victory with 24 points, 24 rebounds, 10 blocks and seven assists.

That was in a state quarter final game.

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Pryor still likes four, moves toward decision

I wonder if anybody has ever had a quadruple double. Only 3 assists away.

Pryor, who is also a five-star basketball player, led his team to victory with 24 points, 24rebounds, 10 blocks and seven assists. But in between basketball games, Pryor has been talking to coaches.

This kid needs to go the basketball route if he really is a 5 star bb

He is the #28th ranked basketball recruit. Terrelle Pryor - Basketball Recruiting

If he goes to Oregon and sees all the Nike facilities, could be game over.

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

Why would you say that? He's also the number one football player in the country.

Probably can make a lot more money in the NBA, as opposed to being an option quarterback.

Charlie Ward, Eric Crouch and other elusive QB's. Basketball if you have some serious raw talent more than likely you're a lottery pick after one year in school. College FB you have to learn the system and then show your freakish skills (Vince Young). It just seems like more of a sure thing money wise NBA vs. NFL.

Yeah, Peyton Manning hardly gets any deals. If he truly is the best player in all of high school football (to say he's an option QB is absolutely ridiculous and a bit racist) he could make just as much money as one of the top QB's in the league than by being just another small forward in the NBA. Who in their right mind would give up being one of the best players in one sport just to be another basketball player? Would you rather be Tom Brady or Kirk Hindrich. I have seen a lot of highlights of Pryor in both sports and he is a lot better FB player with a better chance to go to the NFL in my opinion.

It takes a WAY more than just athleticism and raw talent to make the NBA if you are only 6'6. Lots of players dominate high school at his size only to flame out in college or early in their NBA career. Small forward is also VERY tough to make the NBA at. Look at players like Rashon Clark, Craig Brackins and Marcus Fizer. If any of them were the number one player in all of high school football would they have made the right decision for basketball? Athletic small forwards are a dime a dozen, elite quarterbacks with his combo of size speed and a rocket arm are extremely rare.
