    The question now is:

Did the team turn a corner at halftime of the game heading to some good things, or is it a sign of a bad ISU team that needed a miracle to beat another bad team in Hilton?

I am of course hoping its the former, not the later. My brain however, is afraid its more of the later than the former.

    Re: The question now is:

If we continue to share the basketball, and keep the turnovers down then we will be allright.

If the offense goes back to throwing the ball into Jiri so he can force a shot, then have Craig shoot a three, then watch Wes take two dribbles and shoot a contested three, then watch Rahshon get frustrated, and force a shot, all the while Brian stands on the perimeter, because he can't beat anyone off the dribble.......Then not so much

    Re: The question now is:

I think last year and this year can be completely thrown out. The shear number of players that left the program in two years is staggering. It doesn't matter what the reason was for each, the number alone could kill a program. I think the fact that we are competitive in most games is a tribute to Coach Mac and his staff, and also Jiri and Rahshon. Last year was year one for Coach, and this year is year one too.

Hopefully, the guys are starting to get things headed the right direction. But, I don't think Wes will be 100% until next year, so we will probably be inconsistent. It would be great to win a game or two in K.C.

I think that the halftime adjustment of going with four guards was the difference in the game.

ABSOLUTELY!! Much better than the 4 F lineup we have been going with.

    Re: The question now is:

I feel like it could be neither. The team has some quality moments, but are inconsistent, as a reasonable person would expect with a second year team with massive turnover. I think every positive is a step in the right direction, and Saturday's improbable come from behind win was definitely that.

Funny, I think it could be both, with the youthful inconsistency.

    Re: The question now is:

There has been quite a bit of mental self-gratification around here after victories. Everyone was ready to say the team turned a corner with a good performance against Texas last weekend, then we laid an egg against Oklahoma and followed that with the worst one half of basketball in Iowa State basketball history...at home no less. This was a nice come-from-behind victory to give this team some badly needed confidence, but we will continue to struggle on the road, and any more wins I think will be few and far between.

Would be nice to bag those fat kats in the last game of the year. Haven't beaten them in a while, plus it would help give this team some momentum heading into the offseason if they can finally give Mac a win over a ranked team.

I think this team may have turned a corner, and it looked like in the 2nd half they finally bought into GMac's offense. I think they finally "get" it.

    Re: The question now is:

IMO the "turn around" at halftime came because the COACH was able to get his guys settled down and refocused. Then, and this is the BIG factor, they hit their first 3 shots and the biggest crowd of the season took over. Hilton Magic took the Nebbie rookies completely out of the game. If the Cyclones had hit their first 3 shots of the game, I'm guessing it never would have been that ugly. LE would describe this team as very fragile, and I would agree. Inexperienced guard court, questionable leadership from everyone except Clark. When one guy they are counting on doesn't come through, whether from illness, injury, or inexperience the wheels fall off.
