I didn't realize that the 49 points in 2nd half

were the most scored in a half by ISU all year. The first half, well Hampton comes to mind.

The one thing that I thought was great to see was Peterson and Huluska make shots and plays. It seems like all season the opposing teams guards hit critical shots to win games.

    Me neither..
So, it seems like we set two records in one game. Most scored in the second half all year long. And the least amount of points scored in the first half, in ISU basketball history, (old record 13 points vs Drake in 1949).

I think the 11 points in the first half was the least points in a half for any team since the start of the Big 12.

It was an excellent 2nd half. I still can't believe we only scored 11, expecially since the team is able to score 49 on the same team in the second half. I guess things just weren't clickin'.

Maybe it was the hoop because it looked like Nebraska had a hard time scoring on that side of the court too!

Hey, we were only four points away from tying the St. Louis Billikens record of 7 first half points, set earlier this year.

They scored more on that hoop than they did on the one we scored 49 on.

Last Tuesday, Kentucky only scored 11 points in the first half, and they were down 30 at half. Thank God our defense played good enough to keep us in the game otherwise the game would have been over already at halftime.

I'm surprised Gillespie still has a job!

I wouldn't really say our defense played well. Both teams were sloppy in the first half.

Re: I didn't realize that the 49 points in 2nd half

Not only were the points in the two halves wild, but what about the turnovers.

We had 15 turnovers in the 1st half & 0 in the 2nd. Have we ever had a half where we did not commit any turnovers?

It seemed like two different teams. Also, Rashon will be greatly missed from this team next year. 13 rebounds!

It could have been an NCAA record where you win by 8 after scoring only 11 points.

Re: I didn't realize that the 49 points in 2nd half

11 points in a half during the shot clock era, if not the record for lowest output in a half, has got to be very close.

UK was playing a very good Vandy team and I can assure you that some in the UK fan base are ready to pull the plug on Gillispie...they are about winning (it all, typically) now at UK not "waiting until next year".

We were playing a pretty poor Nebraska team.

I cheer for two teams, Iowa State and whoever is playing the hawkeyes.

Re: I didn't realize that the 49 points in 2nd half

...and the rational Kentucky fans realize that with what Gillespie was left he can't win it all this year...their best player (Patterson) is a Gillespie recruit that he landed late, and if it weren't for him, things would be FAR worse in Lexington.
