    Meyer & migraines

I just heard that at one of Mac's luncheons, he admitted that Bret has migraine issues and was the chief culprit of his problems in the 1st half of the UNI game. Sounds like his vision was hazy until he was able to get treatment at halftime. Has anyone else heard of this?? (I wouldn't this this would be the kind of ailment a D1 QB would want to have!)

With our O-line being what it is why wouldn't he have migraines? The poor guy is getting hit constantly. Hell, I got a Migraine just watching!

This is true. They have to manage it.

Managing migraines is not as easy as it sounds. Despite migraine maintenance meds such as amitriptyline, migraine treatment meds such as ketoprofen and imitrex and an attempt to minimize migraine by way of supplements (8 seperate vitamins/herbs per day, most horse pill size) migraines can be quite dehibilitating...Nausea, equlibrium problems and sensitivity to light ontop of the basic pain are some of the fun that migraines bring. If Meyer does suffer from even infrequent migraines, then I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt concerning some of his less than steller performances. Ofcourse his performances wouldn't stand out as bad if we had an O-line and a running game, but that is another thread....

Our O line is a Zero Line when the blitz is on. If we did not have Stevie blocking so great, it would be lights out for Bret.
