    Nebraska, NIT Bound; ISU, not

Is that what the color guy said today during the game? It looks to me that we have the same # of wins. I doubt either team makes the NIT. I guess beating NE does classify us as "giant killers", though. I thought that was interesting...

Was that in the first or second half?
I thought they sounded pretty impressed with ISU in the second.

They said it in the second half. Nebraska always does NIT if they go anywhere. It was Danny Nee specialty.

Neither one of these teams are NIT bound without a great finish to the season.

And Brackins sat because he wasn't playing good defense and if he's not scoring then he's only hurting us by being out there because he gives up too many points on defense. I hope that benching lights a fire under him and he comes out inspired to turn his fortunes around the next game. I think he has a bright future ahead of him but sometimes you need a kick in the butt like that to get it together.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

There are not many crowds or places in the country that have a better impact on the game than at Iowa State. The Cyclone fans are truly a sixth man. The place is so loud and always a fantastic crowd." - Former Kansas and current North Carolina head coach Roy Williams

Re: Nebraska, NIT Bound; ISU, not

If players are getting the flu, that can only mean one of two things:

    1) Coach wants them to get sick, so he doesn't stop it.

    2) Coach is finding ways to make them sick.

Either way, things must be out of control.

Or, people just get the flu. It's hard to tell
