    Jon Banks...

Anyone notice that he had a pretty good game Saturday? Or at least, I think he did.

He may have just found his true position if he can continue playing like that.

    Re: Jon Banks...

He looked good. He looked better than Carper. Maybe that is why NE only had 28 pioints. The middle of d line did their job also. We just have a huge lack of depth with our current squad. Considering defense losses the defense has done their part. Considering the offensive returnees, we are seeing dimished returns. We need an offensive makeover Extreme Edition.

    Re: Jon Banks...

I had thought Banks had played well all season long, then he got moved to second string. He was one of our leading tacklers but must have been getting out of position alot or something. I thought he played well against Nebraska and always seems to be involved in plays

I like our LB core now with Bowen, McKenzie, and Banks. Where was Rashawn Parker on Saturday?!?!

    Re: Jon Banks...

Mac said Parker is physically beat up as true freshman playing in this league and is now a #2. Moorehead moved to his spot and Braaksma started at Mooreheads spot.

    Re: Jon Banks...

I still don't understand why we didn't sub more on defense the last two years. Last year, we lost overtime games because our defense was so damn tired. We could have used a few of these guys, at least sparingly, last year.

    Re: Jon Banks...

I don't know who's job it was, but the cutback lane was not covered at all in the first half. My evidence being that most of their positive yards came on the cutback. It was covered better in the 2nd half though, so I kind of think it was Banks job. Overall I thought he did well after being somewhat thrown into the job.

    Re: Jon Banks...

I was pleasantly surprised with Bank's play. I had been critical of him, and was skeptical of his move to linebacker, but he looked good out there. Hopefully he'll learn more and play even better, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see Garrin get some time, too.

    Re: Jon Banks...

Another good showing by Banks in my opinion. Maybe we'll actually have some good depth next year at linebacker.
