When will blu-ray players become the main drives in computers? I say 1 year tops.Hopefully they get cheaper too.

At $30 per movie I don't really care who wins, I'm not buying either. Who in their right mind thinks that is a decent price for a movie?

Re: Wal-Mart to sell only Blu-Ray

yeah, people said that about CDs when they first came out too. Eventually, cassette tapes died. Then there was DVD, and eventually video cassettes died. At some point DVDs will die and Blu-Ray will own the market until the next best thing comes out.

Good thing I waited I was almost gonna buy a Toshiba HD DVD player the other day. Hope this can bring the prices of the Blu Rays down a little bit.

The Iowa City Wal-Mart better keep a close eye on Dominique Douglas if this is the case-he'll have a whole new set of movies to steal.

Re: Wal-Mart to sell only Blu-Ray

Both formats are just a stop gap until downloadable media is worked out, I doubt either would have the shelf life that dvd's have had. On Demand type services will be the future, it's too expensive to really take off yet, but so is bluray for that matter.
