Advanced Computer Help- Reformatting an HP

I reformatted our HP 533w yesterday and found out I didn't have to use the XP cd like I do with our Dell. When I did it it said that all of my drivers would stay on there but it would get rid of anything else! so now that it is done it can't connect to the internet... and when I go to the device manager it has the yellow exclamation mark by the Network controller. When I reformat our Dell it was really easy to find the needed drivers but I am really struggling with this computer. We have an existing LAN and the cable modem and router are hooked up to my dell. Any help would be appreciated!

I have that one installed and under the device manager it is under Network Adapter. But then there is a yellow exclamation mark by one that says Network Controller, and I am getting no connection what so ever! It connects to the router wirelessly if that would help at all?

Yep, so I have the realtek driver that you said... I think I am still missing something, and I'm not sure where to find it!

Did you put the wireless card in yourself or did it come with the HP?

I'm not 100% sure a friend of my mom gave it to us. I'm assuming it is going to be really difficult to get the connection back then isn't it?? I wish it was as easy as with my dell!! :P

Your best bet is to open the side, look in and find out the manufacturer of the wireless card. You can probably find a model number on it as well.
